How to Save your Own Instagram Photos on Your iPhone

When you upload a photo on Instagram, you already have a copy of it on iPhone. The problem comes in when you use the app’s filters and editing features to make changes to the image ad it turns out so well, you want a copy of it. Or you take a photo within the app. The good news is that there is a way you can save the photos you post on Instagram. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: On your Profile Tab, click on the gear icon to access the settings

Step 2: Scroll down until you see “Save Original Photos”

Step 3: Turn it on and now every time you post a new photo on Instagram, it will be copied to a folder in your device’s photo album called “Instagram.”


How to Save Other Users’ Instagram Photos

Like we mentioned before, saving other users’ images on Instagram is definitely difficult, but not impossible. You could take a screenshot but that will not yield a high-quality image. Here’s a simple way to do it.

Step 1: Open the image you want to save on your desktop browser. Click the timestamp so the post appears on its own.

Step 2: On the browser’s menu, click “View” and then select “Developer > View Source.” You can also just right-click on the image and choose “View Page Source.”

Step 3: On the page that appears you will find the URL of the actual image. Look for “jpg” and you’ll find it pretty quickly.

Step 4: Copy the URL and paste it into your browser and you’ll see the full version of the image. You can then just go ahead and save it like any other image you may find online (right-click and select (save image as).
